THE HISTORY OF POLYCULTURE
THE SPIRIT:
open-mind, cross-borders, business & pleasure
Polyculture Spirit was initially founded in Japan (www.polyculture.net)
by a high member
of the first Japanese communication agency. He was working at this time with
the French co-Founder Francois Lavergne and first
diners started with the Nobel Prize Mr. Francois JACOB of the French Academy at our table.
Polyculture Clubs are aimed at sharing visions and good times
between people with open-mind and cross-cultural experience or sensibility.
In each
country, different type of events can be organized but with always the same
goal to build “open minded, friendly and unique atmosphere”.
THE
DEVELOPMENT: Polyculture, a raising brand
From 2002
to 2003, most of meetings in France
were hold under the presidency of Mr. Hubert Curien,
French physicist, key figure in European science politics, President of CERN
European Organization for Nuclear Research, first chairman of the European
Space Agency (ESA), and the second President of the European Scientific
Academy. Born in the
Vosges Region in eastern France
next to Vittel and Contrex
cities, Curien enlisted in the French resistance
during World War II. After the war he studied Physics at the Ecole Normale Supérieure the most prestigious French Grande Ecole in Paris
also known as Normale Sup. He became the Head of
the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in 1969 the largest and most
prominent public research organization in France with 26,000 permanent
researchers and engineers, and was one of the founders of the European
Science Foundation. He was also head of the French space agency. Hubert Curien was two times the Minister of Research of France.
He entered the French Academy of Sciences in 1994 and became then the
President of the French Academy of Science of the Institute of France
and of the French Foundation. He was very keen on Asian and especially
Japanese culture.
In 2004,
Christophe George co-founded with Mr Francois Lavergne
the new Polyculture Network and Club. With a Asia-Europe-Middle East focus, the Polyculture
Network has and continue to gather many people from different nationalities
and experiences (Business, Music, Painting, History, Psychology …).
